McLaren was cautioned at Monza. McLaren driver Oscar Piastri escaped a sporting penalty after second practice at the Italian Grand Prix.
The stewards issued a warning to the team.
The season leader left the pits for the fast lane before the official resumption of the session after a period of red flags. The judges recognized the violation, but took into account that Piastri could not gain a sports advantage in practice.
